Announcement of the new board of directors and the executive director of the foundation

After A long recruitment period, the Ethereum Foundation has chosen an Executive Director and has assigned three members to the Board of Trustees. This new organizational structure will allow us to focus on the following phase of development.

The Ethereum Foundation is a non-profit organization (‘Stiftung”) based in Switzerland which was established with the funds raised from the Ether Sale. This is meant to better serve the decentralized Ethereum ecosystem. The new CEO is Ming Chan, and the current board is comprised of four members; Lars Klawitter, Vadim Levitin, Wayne Hennessy-Barrett and Vitalik Buterin (Chairman).

Executive Director

MING CHAN



Ming is a Swiss-born Chinese-American who is an ex-student of the Massachusetts Institute Of Technology. She studied Computer Science, Arts And Media Sciences. Ming has a lot of work experience in management and consulting in complicated IT and business operations. She has worked with top scientists, educators and inventors to bring about research innovation. She has followed Ethereum since 2013 and is an expert in the legal and regulatory issues surrounding blockchain technology.

LARS KLAWITTER



Lars has a degree in Computer Science and was a founder or top executive in startups during the first Internet revolution in the late 90s. He has held senior roles in the automotive industry and has a lot of knowledge in growing and creating organizations in the intersection of technology and innovation. He has also served in many IT C-level roles, including CIO at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Currently, he is the head of the innovation and specialty vehicle business at the company.
