Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, has launched an educational program in Kazakhstan, which will qualify students to work in the industry. Through an agreement with the government, a blockchain course has been added to the curriculums of higher education institutions in the country.
Binance Exchange Assists in Teaching Blockchain in Universities in Kazakhstan
The world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has launched an educational program in Kazakhstan. The trading platform plans to provide blockchain training to more than 40,000 students by 2026 at universities throughout the world. According to a press release, Tuesday, this initiative is in partnership with the Blockchain Center, a research laboratory established by the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the Astana International Financial Center, and the Ministry of Digital Development and Ministry of Education.
The memorandum will enable the collaborative work of these government entities. Zhaslan Madiyev, General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan, noted that this agreement allows the exchange to offer educational materials and support on the basics of compliance and blockchain. In this way, the country will be the first to include a blockchain curriculum in the educational programs of universities. “Professionals with knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and compliance will become a resource for the global blockchain industry,” the participants expressed, hopeful.

Global Cryptocurrency Exchange Seeks Expansion in Central Asia
This initiative is the result of a meeting between Binance co-founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao and Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in May this year. Moreover, in October, Binance offered its support to the Kazakh government for the “safe development” of the crypto sector in the country. The NBK will use the Binance Chain for the deployment of its digital tenge.
Additionally, in October, Binance was licensed to offer cryptocurrency exchange and custody services in the Astana financial centre. This focus on Kazakhstan comes after it was made a major mining hotspot, but authorities in 2021 reprimanded the industry. Thus, the government has been attempting to regulate the crypto space.
The global platform has been trying to increase its presence in the region during the ongoing crypto winter. It has also met with officials from neighbouring countries such as Kyrgyzstan. Earlier this month, Binance also provided its support to the government of Azerbaijan, another former Soviet republic, in its efforts to create a national regulatory framework for digital assets.
