On Tuesday, Bitcoin made history by surpassing $28k for the first time in recent weeks, and altcoins followed suit with huge moves. Stacks (STX), Optimism (OP), and Kaspa (KAS) outperformed major altcoins such as Ethereum, XRP, and BNB.

STX saw a 25% increase in the last 24 hours, with the coin reaching a new high of $0.76 per token. From a low of $0.58, the price has risen to $1, and the highest ever recorded for Stacks was $3.39 in December 2021.

Optimism (OP) was up 18% at the time of writing. The price of the L2 block chain hit $1.34 Tuesday afternoon after trading at lows of $1.06 this week, likely due to the launch of an Optimism Testnet powered by Binance’s BNB Chain. The token reached a record high of $3.22 in February this year.

Kaspa (KAS) saw double-digit gains with a market capitalization of the top 100 coins. The coin was up over 11% on the day, reaching a high of $0.022 and about 46% off its all-time high of $0.043 reached in April this year. Recently, the Kaspa Team announced a funding initiative that could lead to a KAS listing on cryptocurrency exchange Bitpanda. The L1 Proof of Work Blockchain Network implements the GHOST Protocol, which was cited by whitepapers from Ethereum, Cardano, and XRP.
