Today’s top crypto prices showed a mix of trends, with Bitcoin rebounding slightly while some altcoins experienced a drop. Ethereum, on the other hand, surpassed the $3,000 mark, a significant milestone, but struggled to maintain this level. Other top altcoins, such as XRP, Cardano, and Solana, also saw a decrease in their prices.
In terms of major cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin’s price rose by 0.17% to $51,871.78 at the time of writing on Wednesday, February 21. Its trading volume also saw a significant increase of 45.26% to $32.15 billion in the last 24 hours, with a market cap of $1.01 trillion.
Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, saw a gain of 2.48% to reach $2,994.81 with a market valuation of $359.80 billion. Its trading volume also saw a rise of 25.82% to $19.87 billion. On the other hand, Binance Coin’s price dropped by 0.45% to $353.18, but its 24-hour trade volume saw an increase of 8.89% to $1.40 billion.
Solana’s price, however, dropped below the $110 mark, settling at $106.46 with a decrease of 3.51%. Its trading volume, on the other hand, saw a significant increase of 30.71% to $2.58 billion in the last 24 hours. XRP also experienced a drop, falling to $0.55 with a dip of 2.26%, but its trading volume saw an increase of 19.61% to $1.58 million.
Cardano’s price also saw a decrease of 3.60%, settling at $0.6067. Its 24-hour trading volume, however, saw a slight increase of 0.79% to $718.70 million. As for meme coins, Dogecoin’s price dropped by 3.77% to $0.08507 while Shiba Inu’s price saw a dip of 1.37% to $0.000009675.
In other news, the hyped meme cryptocurrency, Pepe Coin (PEPE), saw a significant decline of 1.92% to $0.000001165 with a market valuation of $489.60 million. Its trading volume, however, saw a rise of 11.30% to $123.81 million.
On the other hand, Siacoin (SC), the native token of blockchain cloud platform Sia, saw a surge of almost 20%, emerging as the top gainer in the crypto market today. Its price rose by 19.88% to $0.01603 and its trading volume skyrocketed by 447.80% to $259.64 million, reaching a high of $0.01651 during the bullish run.
