Bitget, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, is excited to announce its attendance at Web Summit Qatar – a premier cross-industrial tech event in Doha, Qatar from February 26th to 29th, 2024. Following the huge success of Web Summit Lisbon in 2023, which attracted over 70,000 attendees, Web Summit Qatar is the first outreach attempt to the rapidly developing tech community in the MENA region.
The main discussion tracks will cover a diverse range of topics from the future of finance to exploring the world’s energy dynamics, attracting leading industry professionals, investors, and influencers. Speakers from Bitget, TikTok, Meta, Roku, Shell, and HSBC will engage with the audience across the event’s 12 content tracks.
Representing Bitget at Web Summit Qatar will be Managing Director Gracy Chen. Since joining the company in April 2022, Chen has overseen its growth and expansion in global markets, strategy, and corporate development. Under her leadership, Bitget has quadrupled its user base, reaching over 20 million users in 100+ countries and elevating its position in spot, derivatives, and copy trading.
Chen will participate in two on-stage discussions as a guest speaker at the event, along with representatives from Dfinity, Animoca Brands, Fortune, and Delta Blockchain Fund. They will discuss the future implications of halving the Bitcoin on investment strategies, the crypto market as a whole, Bitget’s positioning, and the upcoming Web3 summer. Chen will also touch upon the role of blockchain in empowering women in MENA and the current state of affairs regarding Bitcoin ETFs.
Web Summit Qatar will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from February 26th to 29th, 2024. With a reputation for being “Europe’s largest tech event” and the booming entrepreneurial and technology landscape of the Middle East and Northern Africa, this event provides a unique opportunity for professionals from the big tech industry, politics, finance, and media to discuss the impact of technological advancements in the region.
The event is expected to bring together over 7500 attendees, including more than 300 investors and entrepreneurs from the world of venture capital, private equity, healthtech, fintech, and logistics. Partnering with global leaders in corporate innovation like Microsoft, Meta, Huawei, Snapchat, and Deloitte, the event will also feature government departments and funds from Qatar, Turkiye, Bahrain, Portugal, Tunisia, and Oman.
