Floki Tokens Worth $47 Million Burned
Floki Inu, a popular meme coin, has announced the successful completion of its planned token burning. The burn, which was approved by the project’s DAO, saw 190 billion FLOKI tokens permanently removed from circulation. This amounts to 2% of FLOKI’s total supply and has a value of over $47 million.
The burn comes after Floki Inu’s price surged by 600% in just two weeks. At the time of writing, the meme coin is trading at around $0.0002488, representing a 21% increase in the past 24 hours. While this is a significant number of tokens burned, the team notes that more tokens will be burned in the long term through Floki’s utility.
Floki Inu Not the Only Meme Coin to Fly
As the crypto market continues to rally, meme coins have been gaining attention, with Floki Inu being one of them.
