The Ethereum Foundation is proud to announce that DevCon will be back this November! Over a hundred days after the launch of Ethereum, the network has grown to a large, stable platform with thousands of developers from around the world. DevCon 1 will be held in London from November 9 to 13.
This year’s event will feature three main topics: basic research and core protocols, application development, and the social and political implications of the Ethereum ecosystem. Proof of stake, scalability, network protocols, and privacy will all be discussed, as well as how to develop applications for the platform, efficient design patterns to increase security, and how industry professionals and the general public can benefit from the technology Ethereum provides.
The conference will be held at the Gibson saloon over five days, with the first half focused on dapp research and the second on the industry and social implications. Core team members will provide keynote addresses, with updates on exciting new projects and a chance to broadcast it live for those unable to attend. The second half will focus on the dapps the community is producing, the different business models and businesses created by the platform, and how it has evolved since launch.
A website will soon be available at http://devcon.ethereum.org with more details about the agenda, prices, sponsorships, and other information. Keep an eye out for updates as more information becomes available!
