Devcon on the Move: Second Wave Tickets and More

Published:

Greetings,

As Devcon is quickly approaching, with less than three months to go until Osaka!

It won’t be long until you hear the first details and more about the lineup. Tickets sales are now open, so here is an update of what to expect.

The second wave of ticket sales is tentatively scheduled for August 6. After the last round, we learned a lot, which is why we are using an open source ticketing platform this year. We want to make sure everyone has a great checkout experience with a larger online allocation and a smoother checkout process for Wave 2.

In order to avoid selling out quickly, we are limiting ticket orders to two per person so everyone has a chance to get their tickets. This way, those who arrive on time can save a spot for their friends and coworkers.

For those of you who have an amazing product idea, Devcon Talk will be open all day, even after the show has ended.

The service for applications is now open for one week, from July 29 to August 4. This includes speakers, builders, presenters of all types (breakouts, workshops, or presenters), as well as students. All scholarship applications have been closed.

We understand how quickly things can move in the Ethereum ecosystem, and this window was created with that in mind. We don’t want any of the most recent discoveries to be missed!

All applications are carefully evaluated and reviewed by at most two people from Devcon’s Central planning team to make sure that each request is given fair, thorough, and objective consideration. This process takes time, so not all applicants will get a notification immediately. However, all applicants will receive a decision by mid-August.

Don’t forget, Wave 2 is tentatively scheduled for August 6 and the Request pages for speakers, builders, and students are available at devcon.org from July 29 to August 4. After that, they won’t be coming back!

We are excited to welcome everyone to the club and hope that everyone has success with their applications and tickets. See you soon!

🦄
