DFINITY, SingularityNET Partner to Boost Decentralized AI Infrastructure

Published:

The DFINITY Foundation (DFINITY) and decentralised AI marketplace SingularityNET (AGIX) have announced a strategic partnership to advance the decentralised artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. Through this collaboration, the two companies are building the necessary infrastructure to bring decentralised AI services to dApps built on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain.

The move to decentralise AI and Artificial General Intellogence (AGI) is growing, and an ecosystem with the right infrastructure will help bring the benefits of this technological leap to humanity.

Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET, commented: “SingularityNET and DFINITY have each created critical tools and platforms enabling great decentralisation of AI and AGI; bringing these two toolsets together will be an important step toward creating a decentralised AI network for the benefit of all humanity.”

To stimulate the developer community, the two organisations plan to synergize their grant programs, under the Deep Funding DFINITY’s Developer Grant Program.

Dominic Williams, the founder and chief scientist at the DFINITY Foundation, noted that ICP will play a crucial role in this quest. He added: “The Internet Computer has been at the forefront of hosting artificial intelligence on the blockchain. This initiative with SingularityNET will further realise our vision for DeAI and we’re excited to work alongside Dr. Ben Goertzel and his team to refine the DeAI framework.”

The DFINITY Foundation and SingularityNET will host joint events at ICP.Hubs around the world. These events will include hackathons, seminars, and more.

The news of this collaboration follows the dramatic events at OpenAI, where the AI company fired its co-founder and CEO Sam Altman last Friday. Altman eventually joined Microsoft, where he will lead the tech giant’s new AI team.
