Cryptocurrency markets took a hit on Thursday, as US retail sales fell by more than anticipated. Ethereum dropped by over $100 while Bitcoin slipped below the $21,000 mark.

Bitcoin (BTC) prices dropped to an intraday low of $20,541.54, following the release of the US retail sales numbers.
The Decline saw BTC/USD fall below the $21,000 mark, after a four-month high of $21,564.50.
Looking At the chart, the 14-day RSI has been nearing a two-year high in the recent days, with the index currently at 78.40.
If If the momentum continues to decline, the BTC bears may push prices towards the $20,000 mark.
Ethereal
Ethereum (ETH) dropped to a five-day low following the decline in equities. ETH/USD dropped from a hump-day high of $1,602.11 to a low of $1,509.42.
The Drop saw Ethereum fall to its lowest level in over a decade, with prices reaching a low of $1,449 on Saturday.
