March 21st, 2024 – Victoria, Seychelles – In a recent development, Gracy Chen, the Managing Director of Bitget, was selected as a delegate to attend the 68th annual Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), a prestigious event organized by the United Nations to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. The conference, held from March 11th to March 22nd, focused on the theme “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”

During the conference, Chen actively participated in various sessions that covered critical topics such as empowering youth and women in the age of AI, technology, and social media. These sessions aimed to promote inclusivity and diversity across cultural, social, and economic aspects. The event also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in bridging communities and addressing issues like racism.

CSW68 conference provided a platform for governments, civil society organizations, experts, and activists to come together and agree on actions and investments to end women’s poverty and advance gender equality. The urgent need for accelerated progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was highlighted, especially in addressing poverty and strengthening institutions with a gender perspective. Apart from Chen’s participation, the conference also facilitated interactions with notable figures such as H.E. Taha Ayhan, President of ICYF, H.E. Meriem Chehih, President of Algerian Women Forum, and Mr. Faruk Diken, Manager of Women and Youth Empowerment Division at the Islamic Development Bank.
