Google Loosens Restrictions on Crypto Trust Ads Ahead of Potential Bitcoin ETF Approval

Published:

Google has recently updated its cryptocurrency-related advertising policy to allow US-based crypto trusts to advertise. The updated policy went into effect on January 29, 2024. Advertisers who wish to promote crypto-trusts must first undergo Google certification.

This policy adjustment aligns with the growing demand for Bitcoin ETFs in the US. According to Bloomberg’s ETF analysts, there is a 90% probability of approval by January 10, 2024. The crypto market has responded positively, with Bitcoin experiencing a 74% surge in the past 90 days.

Google’s certification process for potential crypto trust advertisers emphasizes the importance of compliance with local laws. Advertisers must ensure that their products, landing pages, and advertisements all adhere to local laws and regulations. The certification process is designed to promote responsible advertising in the rapidly changing cryptocurrency market.
