Hey everyone, Jutta here with an update on our security efforts and bug bounty program. Back when we first introduced the bounty program earlier this year, we were thrilled with the response we got. Now, we’re here to provide an update on our security activities and how they relate to the Ethereum launch plan.
We’ve received some great bug reports from bounty hunters, and the volume of submissions has increased lately. So, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be continuing the bounty program through the end of the Frontier phase of the Ethereum launch process. To learn more, check out Gav’s and Vinay’s respective blog posts.
For more information about the rewards program, please visit our rewards website. Before you start looking for bugs, be sure to check out these test scripts. We don’t just trust individual bug hunters; we trust the whole community. Last year, I started the process of selecting academics and professional security experts to do our external security audits. Gustav is now closely collaborating with auditors and the Ethereum Go development team to look into all security issues. Solutions are already available on their website, and all identified bugs are being fixed before the launch of Frontier.
The security auditors are finishing up their first round of work in the coming weeks. However, bug fixes are already being implemented. We take as much time as necessary to make sure all issues are properly addressed and tested. To keep track of our progress, follow us on Github.
