Litecoin is still on an upward trajectory after a brief dip to lows of $84 on Friday. Prices have now reached a 14-month high of near $110, last seen in April 2022.
The rally was briefly halted after news that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had provided feedback on recently filed spot Bitcoin ETFs, indicating the filings were “inadequate”. Despite this, Bitcoin has since rebounded and is now eyeing new multi-year highs with the upcoming Litecoin halving.
Litecoin is expected to reach the halving at block 2,520,000 on August 2, 2023, when the block reward will reduce from 12.5 LTC to 6.25 LTC. As excitement builds, hashrate has recently hit an all-time high of 958.36 TH/s.
With the halving event around the corner, LTC price could rise to $200 pre-halving, and $410 afterwards. This would be a new all-time high.
