PRESS RELEASE. Locker Token and ice hockey champions Rögle BK have announced an In-Real-Life (IRL) Event to be held at Catena Arena – the home of the European champions. The event is to promote the unique asset class of NFTs, while also giving Rögle fans the opportunity to learn about the blockchain and buy their favorite player cards.
The Event will take place on December 30 and involve educational content, a 500th fan free mint, and interaction with cryptocurrency experts. Nordic whales will be providing local support and organization.
About The event
Rögle BK fans were among the first to be able to remember their favorite players and in-game moments through the NFT Sports Locker marketplace. The Team has the technology to make any NFT fans might want, and NFTs are created quickly through the use of the Locker Token app. The event is designed to help blockchain enthusiasts take their first steps.
Those scanning the QR code at the venue will be the first 500 to receive a free mint, along with 6,500 more coins when they become available for sale. The First 500 will be randomly chosen in terms of rarity.
What Is the locker token required?
Locker Token is an ecosystem that enables athletes and sports teams to future-proof their offerings and monetize them on the blockchain. It also connects fans and athletes through a unique asset type. It is commonly known by its ticker $LKT and was recently listed on CoinMarketCap after a successful contract migration.
The ecosystem is still fairly new and currently features many of the top ice hockey players, teams, and teams around the world, including: Rögle BK, manchester stormY HC Bolzano. More ice hockey teams and other sports teams are in the process of onboarding, with the ultimate goal being to bring each team’s fan base into the Locker economy as engaged buyers and fans.

About Rögle BK
Rögle BK (Rögle Bandyklubb() is a Swedish professional ice hockey club from Ängelholm. Since the 2015-16 season, the club has been the most active in the SHL. Rögle previously played in the SHL in 1992–1996, 2008–2010, and briefly in 2012–13.
The team is having a mixed season so far. They are currently at 9th in the league standings, but on a two-game winning streak with Adam Tambellini playing a major role in the team’s attacking play, having scored 12 league goals.
