Congressman Patrick McHenry, who represents North Carolina’s 10th district, has announced the formation of a new subcommittee dedicated to digital assets. The Digital Assets Subcommittee will focus on the development and regulation of digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and digital tokens. The committee will be chaired by Congressman McHenry and include six other members of the House of Representatives.

The main goal of the subcommittee is to create a framework for the regulation of digital assets. This framework will provide clarity and certainty for businesses and investors, and ensure that the US remains at the forefront of the global digital asset ecosystem. The committee will also monitor the development of digital asset technology, as well as the impact that it has on US and global markets.

The subcommittee is expected to have its first meeting in the coming weeks. Congressman McHenry believes that this new subcommittee will be a vital part of the US’s efforts to remain competitive in the rapidly changing global digital asset landscape.
