Meta Takes on OpenAI and Google with Free AI Challenge

Published:

Meta Platforms has released a free-of-charge version of its artificial intelligence model, Llama 2, to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. Llama 2 is open-source, allowing researchers to tinker with and modify the AI model. Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, believes open-source software will foster innovation, improve safety, and security.

On the other hand, Microsoft is increasing the charges for its AI features in its office software, also introducing a more secure version of the Bing search engine. This version of Bing will not allow any viewing or saving of user data to train underlying technology. An employee would have to log in with work credentials to gain the protections.

AI technology is gaining momentum as both Meta and Microsoft are pushing for an increase in competition with Google. AltSignals is currently conducting the presale of ASI token, the cryptocurrency that will power ActualizeAI. The ASI token is currently costing $0.01875.
