Non-Fungible Token Sales Decline in Second Week of 2023; Ethereum Dominates Top 20 Blockchains

Non-Fungible Token (NFT) sales have seen a sharp decrease over the past week, with transactions dropping by 59.35%. In total, this week’s sales amounted to $208.68 million, beginning at $157.20 million on the Ethereum blockchain.

Ethereum and Solana Lead NFT Sales Among Top 20 Blockchains Amid Lower Digital Collectibles Sales This Week

During the second week of 2023, NFT sales increased by 26% compared to the previous week. However, on Sunday, January 15, sales were down by 59.35% from the previous seven days. Of the top 20 NFT-issuing blockchains, Ethereum accounted for 75.33% of all sales between January 8-15, 2023.

Solana was the second-largest position in terms of NFT sales, at 18.04% (or $37.66 million). These were followed by Immutable X, Binance Coin (BNB) and Cardano in terms of the top five most viewed chains by NFT sales this week.

The top five NFT collections are included in total sales this week: Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), Azuki, Art Blocks and Bored Ape Kennel Club. These were followed by Otherdeed, Sorare, The Captainz, Beanz, and Mutant Hound Collars.
