Chainlink, a decentralized computing platform for Web3, has officially launched its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for general availability. This means that any developer can now easily integrate CCIP across all supported blockchains without any restrictions.
With permissionless access, developers can leverage CCIP for cross-chain token transfers and send messages to smart contracts on supported networks. CCIP currently supports interoperability with Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche, Base, Optimism, and WEMIX, with plans to integrate more chains in the future.
The launch of CCIP in general availability follows several key milestones for Chainlink, including the release of the bridging app Transporter and the addition of native ETH and USDC token transfers. CCIP also supports cross-chain token transfers involving ETH, USDC, and LINK, with an updated pricing model for improved efficiency.
Notable CCIP integrations in the crypto and blockchain space include Aave, XSwap, and WEMADE. To share this exciting news, Chainlink invites readers to use the social media share buttons and explore the categories and tags associated with this article.
