Revolut has integrated MetaMask into their wallet, providing users with the ability to purchase cryptocurrency directly from their MetaMask accounts. This integration streamlines the process of converting fiat currency to crypto, making it easier for users to add cryptocurrency to their self-custodial wallets.
According to Mazen Eljundi, the global head of crypto business at Revolut, this integration offers high success rates for transactions within the Revolut ecosystem and low fees for all customers. More than 20 tokens can be purchased with fiat currency, making the process smooth, secure, and free of obstacles.
The integration caters to users in the UK and Europe, allowing them to top-up their wallets using funds from their Revolut account or by purchasing with Visa or Mastercard cards.
Lorenzo Santos, senior product manager at Consensys, the developer of MetaMask, explains that the goal of this partnership is to make cryptocurrency more approachable and less complicated for users. By using platforms they already know and trust, this integration gives customers more control over their crypto.
He adds, “This partnership also plays a fundamental role in promoting wider adoption of cryptocurrency, making it accessible to more people.”
With Revolut and MetaMask working together, the process of buying and using cryptocurrency becomes more seamless and accessible for users.
