Additionally, a post featuring a selfie of an unidentified person with a caption referencing the early 2000s Spider-Man movie was also deleted.
The incident sparked various reactions from bewildered fans. Some were relieved that Holland did not genuinely endorse cryptocurrency, while others found humor in the bizarre situation. There was also banter about why the hacker did not take advantage of the opportunity to create fake Spider-Man 4 teasers.
Meanwhile, Holland and his Romeo and Juliet co-star Francesca Amewudah-Rivers have been cast in a new production of the play in the West End. However, Holland has faced criticism for not speaking out against the racist attacks targeting Amewudah-Rivers.
