Starknet Devs to Receive 10% of Network Fees

Published:

StarkWare, the developer of the Ethereum layer-2 platform Starknet, recently announced an innovative pilot project called “Devonomics”. This project aims to reward developers with a total of $3.5 million. Under the program, core developers will receive 2% and dApps developers 8% of the 1,600 ETH, or $3.5 million.

The Devonomics program also looks to incentivize developers to secure and maintain the blockchain platform by staking. It is available to developers who have contributed to the platform’s activities and growth since its launch in November 2020 up until November 30, 2023.

In addition to Devonomics, Starknet has launched a number of other initiatives to empower its key stakeholders. These include the Early Adopter Grant Program (EAG), the Early Community Member Program (ECMP) and Developer Partnerships (DPs).

The announcement of Devonomics also follows the recent news of Starknet’s planned airdrop of up to 1.8 billion STRK tokens.
