Farewell to Ethereum Foundation Blog | Adieu to Ethereum’s Journey

Time To Say Goodbye. That’s what Pink Floyd sang and I’m feeling the same. –Pink Floyd

It is with considerable emotion that I have to say farewell. Much like the Floyd’s work during my time with Ethereum, I have experienced a wide range of feelings. From the awe of meeting so many brilliant people (including Jani and Wendell) in Miami in January 2014, to meeting Jeff for the first time in February 2014 and initiating the first face-to-face client collaboration. My travels around the US in March 2014, meeting luminaries such as Joel and Juan, and the excitement of setting up EthDev, and establishing a team together with my colleague Aeron. Meeting the talented coders Martin and Roman at DevCon0, challenging my intellect with Matt and Tim at Ethash.

But that’s enough about the past. Endings bring opportunities if your eyes are open enough. Along with the lead developers Arkadiy and Marek, and many others (old and new), I will be working to realize my dream as part of an exciting new venture.

I’m afraid my C++ will become rusty as I explore different technology opportunities outside of cpp_ethereum. Nevertheless, I will still be able to offer help and guidance to Bob, Christoph, and the others as they journey into new territories, and provide a bit of competition to the other teams.

We understand the road ahead is not easy, but we know what we must do. I’m confident the view from the summit will be worth the effort. Goodbye and thank you for everything.
