XBorg, the Web3 company developing an infrastructure and applications to create digital identities for players and to facilitate tailored user experiences in gaming, has sold out its $2 million community allocation seed round in record time. The funds will be used to scale their infrastructure and applications to reach millions of players and fans worldwide.

Prior to the raise, it had gathered interest from over 8,300 investors, amounting to $7M in soft commitments. However, the company capped the community allocation at $2 million and reserved the remaining $3 million for VCs, closing the seed round at $5 million and setting the $XBG token valuation at $50m.

XBorg Founder and CEO, Louis Regis, commented: “We’ve been including our community in the development of XBorg from the start, believing that the future of gaming must be built by its players. Allocating a large portion of our seed round to the community is our way of showing our support. The enthusiasm that our community has shown in the current market conditions has gone beyond our expectations and speaks to their trust in our vision of disrupting the gaming and fan engagement industry.”

XBorg is launching their first application in the coming months, in partnership with some of the most prominent esports teams in the industry. The first team to be announced was the Rocket League world champions, Team BDS, with many more to come. The app will enable players and fans to create their digital identity, meaningfully connect with gaming communities, and collect digital items for exclusive experiences. By the end of the year, XBorg is aiming to become the fastest-growing gaming credential infrastructure via its partnerships with tier-1 esports teams and popular gaming influencers.

Users can already create an XBorg account to get a glimpse of what the app will be like. Early supporters of the ecosystem are being rewarded, so they should be sure to be active participants and refer their friends if they want to take advantage of this.
